Holy Week 2025
All, Nativity Events, Religious Education
The Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 students started our Holy Week presentations on Tuesday morning with Palm Sunday. Palm Sunday is the final Sunday of Lent, the beginning of Holy Week, and commemorates the triumphant arrival of Christ in Jerusalem days before he was crucified. Our R-2 students did a fantastic job in presenting Palm Sunday to the Nativity community.
At the conclusion of the Palm Sunday presentation the school community processed into our Performing Arts Centre for the Year 3/4’s presentation of the Last Supper, The Washing of the Feet and the Garden of Gethsemane. The 3/4 classes did an excellent job at presenting each event with a play and song.
Our Year 5/6 students re-enacted Jesus’ final hours through the Stations of the Cross. The Nativity community assembled in our Performing Arts Centre this afternoon to witness our 5/6 students share these moments with us in a beautiful and reverent way.
We adore you, O Christ, and we praise you, because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.
