Easter: A Time of Hope and New Life
As we journey through this sacred season of Easter, we are reminded of the central message of our faith: hope, renewal, and the promise of new life in Christ. The story of Easter invites us to reflect deeply on the love of Jesus, His sacrifice, and the joy of the Resurrection.
In the lead-up to Easter, our school community has been preparing through our Holy Week Presentations. It has been a special time, as students from Reception to Year 6 brought the story of Jesus’ final days to life with reverence and heart. From Palm Sunday to the Stations of the Cross, our students invited us to walk with Jesus through moments of celebration, service, sorrow, and ultimately, hope.
A heartfelt thank you to our staff who worked so generously behind the scenes, guiding and supporting students in these presentations.
Another highlight this term was the excursion to the Mary MacKillop Precinct for our Year 5 and Year 2 students. This visit gave students a deeper understanding of Australia’s first Saint, St Mary of the Cross MacKillop, and her lasting impact on education and social justice. Inspired by what they’ve learned, the students are now writing and illustrating a book about her life, which they will present to the school on Mary MacKillop’s Feast Day in August.

As we head into the holiday break, I would like to wish all our families a safe, restful and joy-filled Easter. May this time be one of peace, renewal and togetherness for you and your loved ones.
A gentle reminder that our Rosary Group meets every Wednesday morning at 8:30am in the MacKillop Building. All students are welcome to attend this quiet and prayerful start to the day.
Grace and peace
