Kitchen Garden News

In Kitchen Garden in Term 3, we have been looking at Design and Technology and been working on designing our own Bug Hotels to build in Term 4. We have been researching and looking into different bugs and what those bugs would need if they had a hotel built for them like the temperature, what they eat and where they sleep.

In our Garden, we have been planting many different fruits, vegetables and herbs to grow and use in our cooking in Term 4. We had a big delivery of Garden Soil and Bark Chips and all classes helped to fill the Garden Beds with the Soil and create paths around the Garden Beds with the Bark Chips. Everyone had a great time digging and moving the materials around.

In the Kitchen, we have had less cooking lessons this Term due to Grandparent’s Day. We have cooked a couple of times and students have enjoyed the meals that we have prepared and cooked. The recipes will be coming out on Seesaw by the end of the Term.
