Dear Parents, Students, Staff and Friends of Nativity School,
It’s hard to believe we have only 2 and a half weeks of the school year left!

As we come to the end of another memorable school year, I’d like to thank our wonderful students, dedicated staff, and supportive families for making 2025 a special one. Together, we’ve overcome challenges, celebrated successes, and continued to grow as a vibrant learning community. Whether it’s in the classroom, on the sports field, or through creative pursuits, our school spirit continues to shine brightly.

Special thanks to the students of the Graduating class of 2025. Thank you for the great life and leadership you have provided to the Nativity school community this year. You are a talented and compassionate group of young people with a bright future ahead. We look forward to celebrating your Graduation with you on the 8th of December and looking back on your time at Nativity School and all you have achieved.

This weekend is the first week of Advent. Advent is a season of waiting and expectation for Christmas – the birth of Christ, the Nativity of Our Lord. We prepare our homes and hearts for his coming in the four weeks before Christmas. During this time of hope: God, open our hearts to prepare the way for the coming of Christ. Guide us in your ways of compassion so that we may extend your love and mercy to all people this Christmas season.

In week 1 of this term, I wrote to you about changes to legislation from 10 December 2025 in regard to social media for children under 16. The minimum age for social media use from this date will now be 16, marking a significant shift in how young people access digital platforms. As we come to a very busy time of year, here is a reminder about our upcoming school events:

28/11 Year 1/2 Assembly 9am (including Presentation of Christmas donations to St Vincent DePaul)

3/12 Carols Night – Picnic 5.00pm, Nativity Play & Carols 6pm

8/12 Thanksgiving and Graduation Mass 9.15am

8/12 Semester Reports go home

8/12 Year 6 Graduation Dinner 6.30pm

9/12 Final Year 6 Assembly and Fun Day 9am
