Graduation and Thanksgiving Mass 2025

Last Monday morning at our End of Year Graduation and Thanksgiving Mass, we acknowledged our graduating Year 6 students, St Joseph Award recipients, Rotary Award winner, Mary MacKillop Award recipients, and farewelled staff.

To our graduating Year 6 students, congratulations and thank you for your contribution to our community:
Olivia, EIre, Matilda, Casey, Poppy, Kyra, Hunter, Flynn, Ruben, Levi, Archie, Alexander, Oli, Jonah, Charlotte, Grace, Riley, Evie, Oliver, Alfie, Nate, Toby and Sophie.

The Saint Mary MacKillop Award is a special award presented to senior students each year. The Saint Mary MacKillop Award recipients have remembered our school values of belonging, compassion, gratitude, forgiveness, courage and justice. They, too, have tried to be like Jesus and have acted on Saint Mary MacKillop’s words: “Do all you can with the means at your disposal and leave all the rest calmly to God”. The recipients have not just displayed these qualities this year but throughout their time at Nativity.

We congratulate Grace and Poppy on receiving the Saint Mary MacKillop Award for 2025.

We congratulate Ruben for receiving the Rotary award for his community service this year, keeping with the Rotary motto of “Service above Self”.

Ruben is a kind, caring, and valued member of our Nativity community. He is fair and honest, always giving his best effort in everything he undertakes. Ruben shows great respect for his teachers and peers and consistently models positive behaviour.

A talented and committed sportsman, Ruben has represented Nativity in the Statewide Soccer, Netball, and Basketball teams, as well as the Athletics team, demonstrating leadership, teamwork, and perseverance. This year, he also served as Performing Arts Captain and Vice Sports Captain, supporting and encouraging others with humility and enthusiasm.

Ruben’s confidence and generosity shone through when he co-hosted our Grandparents Day performances and volunteered at the evening event, Campus Has Talent. His gentle nature and commitment to all areas of school life make him a true role model who embodies our Josephite values of courage, justice, and compassion.

The St Joseph Medal is presented to one student from each class who this year, has tried to be like Jesus in all that they said and all that they did. We remember St Mary of the Cross MacKillop’s words, ‘In all things love.’
