Holy Week 2026
Palm Sunday
Our Year 1/2 students, beautifully supported by our Reception classes, led our community in a joyful retelling of Jesus’ journey into Jerusalem. Through their prayerful acting, singing, and waving of palms, they helped us enter into the excitement of the crowd who welcomed Jesus as their King. They did a wonderful job bringing to life this important moment of Palm Sunday, reminding us that Holy Week begins with hope, praise, and hearts ready to follow Jesus more closely. We are so proud of the reverence, enthusiasm, and confidence they showed as they helped us prepare for the journey toward Easter.
Washing of the Feet, The Last Supper and The Garden of Gethsemane 
Our Year 3/4 students spent many hours thoughtfully rehearsing their presentation of The Washing of the Feet, The Last Supper, and the Garden of Gethsemane, and their reverent performance reflected the deep importance of these sacred moments. Through their prayerful retelling, they helped our school and parish community reflect on Jesus’ final time with his disciples, moments that remind us why we gather to celebrate Mass and share in the gift of Jesus’ body and blood in memory of him. We are very proud of the care, understanding, and respect the Year 3/4 students showed as they brought these powerful events of Holy Week to life.
The Stations of the Cross
Our Year 5/6 students reverently and thoughtfully presented The Stations of the Cross, helping our community reflect on Jesus’ final hours and the great love he showed through his sacrifice on the cross. Both classes worked together beautifully to bring this sacred story to life, guiding us through each station with care and understanding. Along the Way of the Cross, Jesus’ encounters with women, his mother Mary, Veronica, and the women of Jerusalem, remind us of the compassion, courage, and faithfulness shown by those who stood with him in his suffering. These moments highlight the important role women played as witnesses to Jesus’ journey and invite us to respond with the same empathy and love in our own lives.
