What’s happening in Japanese lessons
A Busy Term in Japanese Class
From learning to introduce themselves in Japanese to exploring a calendar full of fascinating cultural celebrations, our students have had a wonderful and action-packed term.
This term, students also explored some of the rich and colourful celebrations that are an important part of Japanese culture. Here are three of the festivals we discovered together: Setsubun, Hinamatsuri and Hanami
To bring the magic of Hanami to life, students came together to create a stunning school mural of a sakura tree in full bloom. Each student contributed their own blossoms to the branches, making it a truly collaborative and meaningful piece of artwork. The finished mural is a beautiful reminder of the creativity and teamwork in our class — and a fitting tribute to one of Japan’s most beloved symbols.
It has been a wonderful term of language learning and cultural discovery. We look forward to building on these foundations next term
