What’s happening in Reception

The Reception classes have had a lovely start to Term 2. We were very excited to see our friends again after the break.

In Religion we are listening to stories about Mary and how she lived. We will also be exploring the similarities and differences between Mary and our own mothers.

During Initial Lit lessons we have learnt lots of sounds so far this year and we are becoming great writers. We are starting to sound out the words we want to write in our stories.

In Maths we are using the Bond Blocks program to strengthen our number skills. We enjoy the different activities each week. This term we also have a focus on data. We have been posing questions, sorting the data we collected and representing it in a variety of ways.
