What’s happening in 3/4RB

3/4 Ruddock/Broad have had a wonderful start to Term 2. Students have been actively engaged in a rich and diverse learning program that supports both academic growth and creative expression. In Religious Education, students have been exploring how Jesus is revealed to us and investigating key symbols of the Catholic faith, which have been shared via Seesaw and are also proudly displayed in the classroom. Students were highly engaged in our class Mass at the beginning of the term and demonstrated outstanding participation through their reverent singing and confident delivery of their parts.

In Mathematics, students have been developing their understanding of Algebra while strengthening their fluency and problem-solving skills in Multiplication and Division. Our “Back to Basics” writing sessions have focused on consolidating essential writing skills, including sentence structure, punctuation, and editing, while Reading Rotations have supported comprehension and engagement through our class novels. In Visual Arts, our Pop Art unit has encouraged students to experiment with bold colours and patterns, inspired by well-known artists.

In Technology, students have been highly engaged in our LEGO Spike program, which has supported the development of their coding and engineering skills. Complementing our classroom learning, the GooRoo incursion provided valuable hands-on opportunities to strengthen problem-solving and collaboration skills. Most recently, students have begun podcasting with Arch D Podcasting, where they are developing their communication skills and confidence in sharing their ideas with an authentic audience.

Overall, it has been an amazing start to the term, and we are looking forward to what comes next for 3/4Ruddock/Broad.
