Statewide Soccer Carnival – A Fantastic Day at West Beach
Our Year 5/6 boys represented Nativity with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship at the Statewide Soccer Carnival held today at West Beach. It was a wonderful opportunity for the team to come together, challenge themselves, and showcase their skills against a range of schools.
The boys competed exceptionally well throughout the day, consistently playing to the best of their abilities and demonstrating teamwork, perseverance, and positive attitudes. Their efforts were rewarded with three impressive wins from five games, securing victories against North Haven, Thiele, and Ascot Park. The team also faced strong competition from Eden Hills and St Joseph’s Kingswood, who proved tough opponents.
Beyond the results, it was fantastic to see the boys supporting one another, communicating effectively, and growing in confidence with each match. They should be very proud of their performance and the way they represented our school community.
We extend our sincere thanks to Thomas Warby for his excellent coaching and guidance throughout the day, helping the boys to stay focused and motivated. A big thank you also goes to Matthew Torresan for his support in umpiring and to Derek Bawden for his efforts in setting up and packing down our marquee.
Finally, we would like to acknowledge and thank the parents who came along to support the team. Your encouragement from the sidelines made a meaningful difference and added to the positive atmosphere of the day.
