From The Principal

Dear Parents, Students, Staff and Friends of Nativity School,

Today, our Year 3 to 6 students participated in the Catholic Schools Netball Carnival. Thank you to our team coaches and umpires for generously volunteering their time and helping to make the day such a positive experience. It was wonderful to see our students enjoying the opportunity to participate, have fun and demonstrate great sportsmanship.

As we approach the end of Semester 1, student reports have now been made available for families to access via SEQTA Engage. We encourage all families to log in to SEQTA to view their child’s report and take the opportunity to celebrate their growth, effort and learning throughout the semester. If you have any questions or would like to discuss your child’s progress further, please contact your child’s teacher. If you have not yet connected to SEQTA Engage, please refer to the instructions posted on Seesaw.

This week, the 2025 School Performance Report was posted on our school website. This report includes information about student attendance, finances, staff qualifications, NAPLAN results and Live, Learn, Lead survey results. If you would prefer to receive a printed copy, please let the office know, and we will send a copy home: School Performance Report

As the term break begins next week, it is an ideal opportunity for children to enjoy some reading. A reminder that children in Years 3 to 6 who wish to complete the Premier’s Reading Challenge and receive a certificate and medal will need to complete the challenge and return their completed form to their class teacher by the beginning of September. If you need another form or would like to find suitable book titles, please refer to the Premier’s Reading Challenge SA book list: Premier’s Reading Challenge Book List

The term break is also a great time for students to complete activities for Children’s University. The Children’s University portal includes information about learning destinations and online activities, with many opportunities for students to explore and continue their learning beyond the classroom: Children’s University Portal

On Sunday, 12 July, we will celebrate the First Holy Communion and Confirmation of Lily, Lewis, Georgie, Jordan, Aailyah, Zac, Eli, Carmelina, Ciara and Maisie. Please keep these students and their families in your prayers as they prepare for this important step in their faith journey. We warmly invite you to join us at the 11 am mass to celebrate this important milestone.

Wishing everyone a restful and enjoyable term break. We look forward to welcoming students back on the first day of Term 3, Tuesday 21 July.

God Bless,
Erika
