A Busy and Exciting Term 3 in Class 3/4 Ruddock/Broad
Term 3 is proving to be an exciting and productive term for the students in Class 3/4 Ruddock/Broad. Our classroom is buzzing with learning, creativity, and collaboration as students embrace a wide range of opportunities across the curriculum.
One of the highlights of this term is our learning about money and financial literacy. Students are exploring the Australian monetary system and developing their understanding of earning, saving, spending, and budgeting. Through our classroom economy, students take on classroom jobs and earn classroom currency by demonstrating responsibility, teamwork, and positive learning behaviours. They are learning valuable life skills as they make decisions about how to manage and spend their earnings.
In English, students are strengthening their research and writing skills through informative report writing. They are investigating interesting topics, gathering information from reliable sources, and learning how to organise their ideas into clear and engaging reports. Students are developing their ability to communicate information effectively while building confidence as writers.
Our Year 4 students are also busy preparing for the Religious Literacy Assessment Tool (RELAT). Through discussions, revision activities, and learning experiences focused on scripture and Catholic teachings, students are deepening their understanding of key religious concepts and developing confidence in their abilities.
Adding to the excitement of the term is our preparation for Grandparents’ Day. Students are enthusiastically practising dances and performances to help make the celebration special for their grandparents and special friends. It has been wonderful to see students working together, encouraging one another, and demonstrating their talents as they prepare for this important event.
With so much happening in the classroom, Term 3 is shaping up to be a rewarding and memorable term. We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm, resilience, and commitment our students continue to show each day. We look forward to sharing more of our learning and celebrating our achievements together as the term continues.
