Dear Parents, Students, Staff and Friends of Nativity School,
Thank you to all parents, students and staff who took the time to complete our Strategic Plan Survey and participate in the recent focus groups over the last 2 weeks. Your willingness to share your insights, experiences and aspirations for our school is greatly appreciated. Your feedback will play a vital role in shaping the future direction of the School of the Nativity and ensuring our next Strategic Plan reflects the hopes, priorities and needs of our community. We are grateful for your engagement, honesty and commitment to helping our school continue to grow and thrive and look forward to sharing our next Strategic Plan with you soon.
Yesterday, we prepared and delivered our final batch of soup for the Moore Street Day Centre for 2026. This has been a wonderful way for our students to put their faith into action, showing compassion and care for those in our wider community. We extend our sincere thanks to all students for their commitment and enthusiasm throughout the year, and to the many families and parish members whose generous donations made this initiative possible.
Preparations and rehearsals are well underway for our much-anticipated Grandparents Day celebrations, and we look forward to welcoming grandparents and special friends to School of the Nativity on 25 September for two performances of From Nativity to Broadway. Our students have been enthusiastically practising their songs, dances and performances, and we are excited to share their talents with our special guests. Special thanks to Marissa Ritorto from Flava Dance Studio for her support of our Junior Primary classes as they prepare for the occasion. Her expertise and encouragement have helped bring confidence, energy and joy to the performances.
On Monday 21 September, I look forward to attending the Catholic Schools Music Festival and seeing our Festival Choir take to the stage. The Festival Choir brings together students from Catholic schools across South Australia. We are incredibly proud of our choir members, who have shown great dedication and enthusiasm throughout their rehearsals. I wish them all the very best for this special performance and will be cheering from the audience.
A friendly reminder that our Book Fair opens this week! Families are warmly invited to visit and support this wonderful opportunity to foster a love of reading while helping to raise funds for new resources for our library.

As we celebrate Father’s Day with our community breakfast and Father’s Day stall tomorrow, we extend our heartfelt thanks to all fathers and father figures within our school community. Whether through words of encouragement, helping with homework, cheering from the sidelines, or simply being there each day, your influence makes a lasting difference in the lives of your children. We hope you enjoy a well-deserved day of celebration and appreciation with your families. Special thanks to Bianca Cotton and Ari Torresan for your coordination of the breakfast and to Melinda Sporowicz for your coordination of the Father’s Day stall. Thank you also to the parent volunteers who will be helping the co-ordinators tomorrow with these events.
