From the APRIM

Dear Nativity Families,

Canteen Survey Results
Thank you to the 114 families who participated in our recent Canteen Provider Survey. Your feedback has provided valuable insights into how our community is using the service and the improvements you would like to see moving forward.
While most families use the canteen occasionally or once a week, satisfaction with the current provider was mixed. Key areas identified for improvement included menu variety, value for money, food quality, and increased options for students with dietary requirements. Many families also expressed interest in more healthy choices and additional hot food options.
Positively, families overwhelmingly supported maintaining a five day canteen service, with most indicating that the current opening hours meet their needs.
Leadership has met with Manna to review the survey results, and assurances have been provided that they will be improving their service and the quality of food offered.
We sincerely thank all families who took the time to share their feedback and suggestions. Your input will guide our ongoing review of canteen provision as we work to ensure the service meets the needs of our students and school community.

MITIOG
Over the last two weeks, teachers across the school have been teaching the Made in the Image of God (MITIOG) curriculum. MITIOG is the official sexuality and respectful relationships curriculum for South Australian Catholic schools and is grounded in the Catholic understanding that every person is made in the image and likeness of God and possesses inherent dignity. Through age-appropriate learning experiences, students have explored concepts relating to identity, relationships, respect, human dignity and God’s gift of life. This curriculum continues to support families as the primary educators of their children and forms an important part of our Catholic learning framework.

ReLAT
Next week (Week 9), our Year 4 students will participate in the Religious Literacy Assessment Tool (ReLAT). This assessment is undertaken by Year 4 students in Catholic schools across South Australia and provides valuable information about student understanding of the Crossways Religious Education curriculum. Importantly, ReLAT assesses religious knowledge and understanding and is not a measure of a student’s faith commitment or participation in the life of the Church. The data assists schools in continually improving Religious Education teaching and learning.

Newly Trained Altar Servers
One significant milestone has been the commencement of training for our new altar servers. It has been wonderful to see students responding to this important ministry and developing a deeper understanding of their role in the liturgical life. Their willingness to serve demonstrates the growth of student leadership and participation in the Church. Alongside this, our school hosted Parish Masses for Term 3 have now concluded. We now turn our attention to preparing for Grandparents Day, with the final two weeks of rehearsals underway. This special celebration recognises and honours the important role grandparents and significant older people play in the lives of our children.

In all things love,
Rachel Baulderstone
