Instilling the Spirit of Giving: Support Adelaide Day Centre for the Homeless
At the School of the Nativity, we uphold the values of compassion and solidarity, echoing the teachings of Mary MacKillop and Pope Francis. Inspired by their dedication to serving others, we strive to instil these values deeply into the hearts of our students through our commitment to Catholic Social Teaching.
Mary MacKillop, with her unwavering dedication to education and social justice, and Pope Francis, always advocated for the poor, marginalised and vulnerable, exemplify why we do what we do. Their teachings remind us of our duty to love and care for one another, especially those in need.
Supporting the Adelaide Day Centre for the Homeless
This term, we are rallying behind the Adelaide Day Centre for the Homeless again, a vital organisation that provides essential support to those experiencing homelessness in our community. As part of our mission to live out Catholic Social Teaching, we invite the Nativity school community to join us in making a difference.
Ways You Can Help
Your support is crucial in making a meaningful impact:
• Donations of Vegetables and Warm Clothing: We are collecting fresh vegetables and new warm clothing items to support the Adelaide Day Centre. (Please see the Poster made by our Student Leadership Team with all details) These contributions directly benefit those in our community who are most in need.
Join us as we live out our school motto, “Families living, loving, and learning together,” by extending our care beyond our school walls. Together, we can embody the spirit of Mary MacKillop and Pope Francis, making a tangible difference in the lives of others.
