Young Environmental Leaders
On Tuesday 5 August, I took our Sustainability Leaders to Happy Valley Primary School and the Happy Valley Reservoir as part of the Young Environmental Leaders Program. At Happy Valley Primary, we explored their impressive kitchen garden, admired their vegetable beds, visited the chook sheds, and saw their cooking area.
Later, SA Water guided us on a tour of the reservoir, answering questions from both students and adults. It was a great day of learning and inspiration. Our group has returned full of ideas and is continuing to work on their Bokashi Bin project within our school. Thank you to Bonnie for assisting on the day!

The school is looking particularly clean!
Many Receptions from Mrs King’s class are taking Sustainability very seriously! They have been caring for our school grounds by regularly using buckets and tongs to pick up rubbish at recess and lunch. Well done to these diligent Receptions, who are showing that even our youngest students can teach the older ones many important lessons about looking after our earth.

In all things love,
Rachel Baulderstone
