From the Principal
Dear Parents, Students, Staff and Friends of Nativity School
It seems that the term is rushing by! This week, our Year 3-6 students attended the SACPSSA Athletics Carnival, and our Year 2-6 students graduated from Children’s University.
On Tuesday at the Athletics Carnival, our Nativity boys came fourth overall in Section 6. Our Nativity girls came fifth overall in Section 6. Well done to everyone who represented our school so well, and in particular, special congratulations to those who came first in their events. Thanks also to all the parents who helped out on the day. We appreciate your support.

On Wednesday, we proudly celebrated 27 incredible students graduating from Children’s University Australia
Together, these inspiring young learners have clocked up over 5,700 hours of learning beyond the classroom! From baking and preparing family meals to exploring cultural events overseas, they’ve shown that learning happens everywhere, at home, in the community, and across the world.
We’re especially proud to congratulate Grace, Sophie, Matilda, and Jensen, who each received Bronze Postgraduate Awards for achieving over 500 hours of learning in 2025. Their dedication and passion for discovery truly embody the spirit of Children’s University!
Every hour spent learning outside of school represents curiosity in action, trying something new, following a passion, and building skills that will last a lifetime. Whether it was cooking up something delicious, learning an instrument, visiting a museum, or experiencing another culture, our graduates have proven that learning never stops.
A huge thank-you goes to the families who have supported and encouraged our learners every step of the way. Your guidance and enthusiasm make all the difference!
Congratulations to our 2025 Children’s University Australia graduates. You have all shown that when curiosity leads the way, amazing things happen!

I would also like to extend congratulations to Derek Bawden, our hard working and dedicated Groundsman who was awarded National Life Saver of the Year 2025 over the weekend. We are all very proud of you Derek! We know your quiet excellence and leadership skills have had a great effect on the Seacliff Life Saving Club and the broader Surf Life Saving community.
Next week, Nativity will be hosting the Campus Remembrance Day Service. On the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month, we will all observe a minute’s silence to honour those soldiers who died fighting to protect the nation in war. You are welcome to join us at 10.30 in the memorial garden adjacent to the Campus carpark.
A reminder that we are now collecting donations for the St Vincent de Paul Christmas Hampers. Donations are due by 27th November. The appeal aims to provide hope and dignity to vulnerable individuals and families facing the cost-of-living crisis in our local community. All donations, big and small, are greatly appreciated.
Next Friday, we will also celebrate the Graduation of the Nativity Stars at Assembly. Please join us if you can.
God Bless,
Erika
